GippsLandcare is a consortium of the 4 Landcare Networks in West Gippsland. Its committee of management consists of an executive of elected community landcare members and an employed manager. WGCMA is involved as a project partner. The purpose of GippsLandcare is to deliver on ground works incentives and EMS training to private landholders across the WGCMA region. The incentives are linked to best practice NRM and include projects like; fencing riparian vegetation, erosion control, remnant & bidiversity protection, sustainable production, whole farm planning and technical advice. The work of GippsLandcare is not exclusive to Landcare members and any project that meets the funding criteria will receive support subject to available funds.
