This publication has been developed as part of the North East Ecological Farmers [NEEF] community engagement program and is part of their ongoing aim to see more farmers develop sustainable ecological farming systems.

- Weed Detection and Control on Small Farms is a small book designed for new and existing landholders, particularly small farm owners. It discusses the importance of controlling weeds, the principles of weed detection (where and when to look for weeds on the farm, how to identify an unknown plant and what to do when a new weed outbreak is found), weed control responsibilities and methods appropriate to small farm owners, guidelines for responsible herbicide use and accreditation, and available weed control assistance. The booklet is available as hard copy, or download the pdf.

- A Farmer Friendly Handbook of Information to Advance Soil Health, Sustainability and Productivity. This booklet was developed as a result of the Ovens Landcare Network Soil Health project, funded by the National Landcare Program. This book is the culmination of years of work by many people in North East Victoria, including guides, mentors and farmers, and describes trials aimed at understanding more about soils and their management. In part funded through supporting government grants, it is based on the thoughts of commercial farmers and their experiences gained through countless hours of work throughout the trial period.
