The South Gippsland Landcare Network has produced a Handbook for groups which contains a wide range of information on group operations, health and safety (including Safe Work Procedures) for many operations plus other resource information collated from other sources to assist groups.

Landcare has successfully mobilised a large proportion of rural landholders and engaged the wider public in activities. While some Victorian Landcare groups and Indigenous people have worked in partnership, there is not widespread Indigenous involvement in Landcare across the state. In 2009 the Department of Sustainability and Environment commissioned the North East Catchment Management Authority to undertake a review of Indigenous engagement in Landcare. This report offers recommendations for reducing the barriers between Landcare and Indigenous involvement.
