The Tarwin Landcare Group was first formed in 1995 with the motto "for the farmers, by the farmers". The Group aims to maximise funding into the district for individual on-ground works that promote the ethic of sustainability. The group also places a high priority on communicating landholder's and community responsibility for pest plant and pest animal control.

Enhancing the Cape Liptrap to Bunurong Biolink Project

The area stretching between Cape Liptrap and Bunurong (Anderson's Inlet) is the focus of a project aimed at the preservation and connection of remnant vegetation. The project aims to build the ecological resilience and connectivity of the Cape Litrap to Bunurong Biodiveristy Biolink.By working with landholders to protect remnant vegetation, the project is looking to increase the ecological resilience of the area by increasing the connectivity of vegetation. The project will provide funding and support for fencing and associated revegetation.
