Landcare Declares War on Boxthorn
YYLN has recenlty accessed funding to target the increasing amount of African Boxthorn prevalent in our region. Our approach is to offer a cash incentive / reimbursement to landowners who undertake boxthorn eradication work. Such works cover physical removal via excavation contractors, and chemical and spraying contractors. Reimbursement of up to 50% of costs can be provided. This money will only be available for 2008, so we encourage all landowners with boxthorn issues to apply. To obtain information about accessing the funding, please contact the YYLN PPA Officer on: 5182 5073 before commencing work, so all cases can be documented.
